On April 4th, we publicly recognized the renewed support of the ANCRE association. The signing of this new multi-year fundraising agreement represents a symbol of hope for the patients and teams of Liryc, and strengthens a longstanding partnership. The signing ceremony testified to this partnership, filled with rich moments of exchange and meetings between members of the two organizations.

ANNUAL UPDATE OF THE DONORS CAMPAIGN WALL

Every year, the donor wall, located in the lobby of Liryc Institute as part of the recognition program, is updated to highlight those who support the scientific effort of the IHU. Since the launch of our major fundraising campaign “Light Up Your Heart” in 2020, many companies, foundations and individuals have given their support and are listed on this wall of generosity.

A PIECE OF THEATER TO BENEFIT LIRYC

The Théâtre Trianon Bordeaux will present the play « Les hommes se cachent pour mentir », for the benefit of Liryc Institute, on Wednesday, June 28th at 8 :00 pm.

A hilarious (and almost musical) comedy by Vincent Piguet that will finally prove that men have a heart.

Tickets are €49 and include a cocktail after the performance.

All proceeds will be donated to Liryc.

AWARENESS OF LIFE-SAVING GESTURES -PNY TECHNOLOGIES

On February 9, PNY Technologies – sponsor of the institute, opened its doors to Liryc teams for awareness of heart rhythm diseases and an initiation to life-saving gestures in partnership with the Choquez-nous association.
A moment rich in meetings and exchanges where employees were able to learn to recognize cardio-respiratory arrest, provide cardiac massage and use a defibrillator.

A successful mission for the institute in its fight against heart rhythm diseases!

ANCRE 2022 PRIZE

On 15 December, Liryc researchers took part in the Ancre 2022 Prize, financed by the ANCRE association, a loyal sponsor of the Institute. Congratulations to Estelle Renard and Vladimir Sobota, the two winners of this ceremony, who were rewarded for their ability to popularise their scientific project in 180 seconds

A big thank you to ANCRE, represented by Jean-François Debrois, president of the association, for this gesture of encouragement and support for the work of young researchers fighting against heart rhythm diseases.

SIGNATURE OF A SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH BOSTON SCIENTIFIC

The Liryc teams are proud to have received the Boston Scientific teams on December 7th for the signature of a new sponsorship agreement. This renewed agreement confirms Boston Scientific’s long-term commitment to supporting the work of the Institute’s researchers to reduce heart rhythm diseases. This donation will be invested to support research and training activities in the field of cardiac arrhythmias. In particular, it will contribute to the financing of the IHU Liryc’s international training programme.

SPORTS AND CHARITY EVENT WITH CEVA SANTÉ ANIMALE

On 29 November, International Generosity Day, the Liryc teams met the employees of Ceva Santé Animale, a loyal sponsor of the institute, during an inter-institutional rugby 7s charity tournament.

All the players present gave their best to score a maximum number of tries. At the end of this tournament, all the points scored during the matches were counted and transformed into donations. Thus, Marc Prikazsky, CEO of Ceva, presented Dr Mélèze Hocini, Deputy Director General of the IHU Liryc and cardiologist at the Bordeaux University Hospital, with a cheque for 5,000 euros at half-time of the TOP 14 match between the Union Bordeaux-Bègles and CA Brive Rugby on 3 December.

On 10 October, Liryc celebrated generosity during an exceptional and convivial evening on the boat Le Marco Polo, to meet its community of supporters.

It was an opportunity to re-engage and mobilise on the emergency of heart rhythm diseases with the testimony of Juliette, who suffered a sudden death at the age of 14, and the presentation of an ambitious medical innovation project with Dr Pambrun.

Patrons and donors were also honoured to enjoy a sensory experience thanks to two young musicians from the Bouscat music school with a musical and educational interlude on heart rhythm.

SIGNATURE OF A SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH MEDTRONIC

On Wednesday 13 July 2022, the world leader in healthcare technologies, Medtronic, renewed its confidence in the Liryc Institute by signing a sponsorship agreement for 800,000€ over 5 years.

This donation will support the training mission in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, reflecting a shared interest between Medtronic and Liryc in disseminating knowledge resulting from research and medical innovation.

By supporting the institute’s efforts to educate professionals, Medtronic is contributing to better patient care in more centres around the world.

AMERICAN PHILANTHROPISTS VISIT THE INSTITUTE

On 16 and 17 June, Liryc welcomed a group of major American philanthropists for a tour of the Institute, led by Mark and Laura Bailey, loyal donors and members of the Liryc campaign committee.

It was an opportunity for these philanthropists to go behind the scenes of the scientific, clinical, innovation and training excellence projects to better prevent and cure heart rhythm diseases; projects made possible thanks to the generosity of the whole world.
